Littlejohn, the Navy and an unusual puff

Among the most strident critics of the Iran hostages who sold their stories was the Daily Mail’s Richard Littlejohn. His fulmination about this “demeaning spectacle” won him a rare page 1 puff from editor Paul Dacre.

But Axegrinder can’t help wondering if Littlejohn would have been quite so strident in his old job at The Sun, which paid a small fortune for Faye Turney’s story.
