Glad tidings from the Sunday Express, which has the only all-female political team on Fleet Street.
Political editor Julia Hartley-Brewer is currently off on maternity leave after having her first child.
And the paper’s deputy political editor, Kirsty Buchanan, has announced that she’s pregnant too and is soon to taking time off for the birth.
Thankfully for editor Martin Townsend, Jason Groves — the plucky stand-in for Hartley-Brewer — is extremely unlikely to join the club.
