It appears that the claws are out again between the Mirror’s 3am girls and The Sun’s showbiz diva Victoria Newton.

The latest stunt from Mirror duo Eva Simpson and Caroline Hedley is to bill the column as packed with “proper showbiz exclusives” â€” as opposed to “improper” exclusives, presumably.

Newton merely thumbs her nose at her rivals by billing her column as “award-winning”.

Girls, girls, please.
