Spare a thought for Stephen Adams, a reporter at the Ferrari Press Agency, who landed a great tale about two intruders who breached Whitehall security to get pretty close to Downing Street.
The diligent hack outwitted a couple of rivals to pick up the court story which the agency eventually sold to the Sunday Express. It
splashed on the story which also ran across the whole of page 4 as well.
And just where was Adams’s byline? Well, any readers who made it right to the end of the story would have come across the following: “Additional reporting by Stephen Adams.†How generous.
