The real Gordon? Does the Mirror think we’re mugs?

A curious portrait emerges of the “real” Gordon Brown in “his frankest interview ever” in the Daily Mirror.
Brown is pictured chatting over a half-eaten bacon sandwich in a greasy spoon (all very “real” apparently) to feature writer Julie McCaffrey, who hasn’t touched her sarnie.
Julie tells us that, while Brown’s security people are at a nearby table, “no staff sit in on our chat and no questions are vetoedâ€.
But strangely, the picture shows that there are four undrunk mugs of tea on the table. Presumably, one was for the snapper taking the picture. But just who was the
other mystery cuppa for?
