Charlie Pretzlik, UK companies editor at the pink ’un, the Financial Times, is on the rise and has just been elevated to assistant editor, companies, by the big boss, Lionel Barber.

Young Pretzlik cut his teeth at the City desk at the Daily Telegraph, under the paper’s then City editor, Neil Collins, who is now a columnist on the Evening Standard. Watch out for Pretzlik, he’s been mentioned by some as a future editor of the FT.
