Nationals follow in Axegrinder’s wake

I suppose that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so it came as little surprise that the media supplements in The Guardian and The Independent followed up Axegrinderâ€™s idea of taking Simon Davis, ex-ES features editor, to task for writing such a pathetic valedictory piece on how pleased he was to be leaving.

It appears the smooth-talking one wasnâ€™t liked much by his former colleagues â€“ whether it was at the ES or The Daily Telegraph, where his last job was LA correspondent before he got the chop.
