The Evening News in Norwich doesn't want to make too much of a song and dance about its decision to print earlier in the day and make only one daily delivery.

Critics of overnight printing have pointed out that it leaves regional dailies high and dry when it comes to covering on-the-day news stories.

But, in an upbeat announcement in Newsletter – the publication for Archant newsagents – Archant Norfolk head of newspaper sales Don Williamson explains: "…those agents with two deliveries at present will see their supplies automatically combined – so there is no need to place a new supply order."

He adds: "As this change only affects our trade customers there will be no need to promote it to readers."
