Hacks flock to join Newland of Arabia

Since breaking news that ex-Telegraph editor Martin Newland is setting up a newspaper for the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, Press Gazette has been inundated with coy requests from journalists asking for Newland’s contact details.
Mum’s the word, but let’s just say that staff at the Evening Standard and Daily Mirror should be suspicious if the person sitting next to them starts browsing an Arabic phrasebook.
A number of casualties from rounds of News International and Telegraph redundancies are also known to be interested.
