Flipping shoes are a flop with the boss

There is not a chance of Ealing Gazette reporter Alex Adams being accused of vanity. The eager young hack was pulled in by the paper’s editor last week when caught roaming his Southall patch wearing a pair of flip-flops.

According to editor Shujaul Azam’s blog: “His explanation went like this: ‘I was playing football in a new pair of boots and suffered such severe blisters that it was impossible to wear shoes. The pain was just too much’.”

Axegrinder used to use the same excuse to get out of football practice. But it never worked.
