Festive cheer is all around â€“ except perhaps in the office of whoever designed The Expressâ€™s Christmas card this year.

On the front is a picture of the Earth, along with mastheads from Northern & Shell newspapers. â€œReaching 18 million readers worldwideâ€, boasts a caption.

One receiver of Express seasonâ€™s greetings card mourned: â€œThey normally send us something that makes us chuckle, like a Giles cartoon.â€
