Boomerang Burchill tires of ‘retirement’

Julie Burchill has signalled her return to journalism with a flurry of pieces for The Guardian and The Sun – nearly two years after she quit journalism, apparently for good.
Enterprising student Edmund West, from NoSweat Journalism Training, tracked Burchill down to her flat in Hove where she explained that she plans to “go back on everything I said I was going to do”.
She said: “When I retired from journalism two years ago, I said: “That’s it, I’m never going to do it again, it’s a filthy profession. I might just go back to it… it does make me look a bit silly, but hell, I don’t mind looking a bit silly.”
