A spelling mistake on a parcel’s address doesn’t usually cause it to be intercepted by customs.
But that’s what happened to Classic Angling magazine recently, forcing editor Keith Elliott to pick up the parcel in person from couriers DHL.
And the spelling mistake?
The parcel, sent from Japan, had replaced the magazine title’s “g” with an “a”.
“I don’t think we’ve much in common with Classic Analing magazine,” Elliott told Press Gazette.
So what did the package contain?
“Some fishing clothes from a Japanese manufacturer,” said Elliott. Which isn’t quite what the package promised.
