The Guardian’s new comment blog, Comment is Free, will launch on Tuesday.

Over 200 writers have already been signed up for the project, including the British blogger Justin McKeating and the American columnist and socialite Arianna Huffingdon, whose own comment site, the Huffingdon Post, was an inspiration for Comment is Free.

Georgina Henry will edit Comment is Free, which will require users to register with valid e-mail addresses before being allowed to post and may use geolocation technology to identify commenters’ location.
