Montgomery partners confirm interest in German paper

The private equity group that purchased several German newspapers late last year with former Mirror Group boss David Montgomery’s Mecom is looking to acquire another title.

Veronis Suhler Stevenson has long been rumoured to be interested in acquiring another German title. Speaking to Reuters today, VSS manager Johannes von Bismarck confirmed that the Sächsiche Zeitung is in his sights.
