Surely some mistake?

The once-great American news agency UPI had a rather odd item on the wire last Friday, datelined London.
Actress Kate Hudson, we learn, won a libel case against the UK edition of the National Enquirer. The correspondent attributed the story to some British rag called the Southampton Press-Gazette.
Unless the Southern Daily Echo has quietly undertaken a drastic relaunch or we’re about to move far, far away from 10 Old Bailey, there’s surely some mistake, since the story broke in this parish on Thursday.
