That's one of the funniest lines I have ever read about SEO - particularly because my career has included both (technical) editing and SEO.

What's so wrong with using SEO to attract people who might never have heard of the newspaper because they live elsewhere? SEO is all about attracting "qualified" traffic. Someone whose search query matches an article is very likely to be very interested in the subject matter.

Having arrived and read the content, should the visitor remain trapped on the site for some lengthy period? 

How many analogies can we make in daily life?

* Restaurant: People come, eat just one main course and go away!

* Store: Customers come, buy just what they want and go away!

* Brothel: Customers just come once, er never mind.</description>
