The Barry & District News in South Wales is running an online campaign in support of a local postman who was suspended for explaining how people could opt out of receiving junk mail.
It seems postman Roger Annies was suspended for misconduct after circulating a leaflet  explaining how people could join Royal Mail’s opt-out for anonymous circulars.
The paper, which orginally broke Annies’ story, is now running a mischievious campaign calling for him to win the Royal Mail’s own customer service award.

The paper has set up a helpful form on its web site that allows users to send a pre-written letter of nomination for the First Class People Award to the Royal Mail. If enough people complete the form, Annies could win the award.
