This evening’s Six o’Clock News devoted the first 11 minutes to the row over Nick Griffin’s appearance on Question Time later tonight. The postal strike, which affects every single person in the country, was relegated into second spot.

The cynics amongst us are wondering how much that 11 minutes would have cost if it was charged at commercial rates for promoting a television programme …
