Death sentence threat for two French journalists

Two French journalists are facing the a possible death sentence in Niger, West Africa, after allegedly visiting Tuareg rebels in the north of the country without permission, the Independent reports.

The pair are working for Franco-German channel Arte - newspaper Liberation has claimed that the French government response to the plight of the pair has been muted.
