Blackpool Gazette and Lancashire Evening Post newsman Tony Brooke has died suddenly, aged 60.
Family, friends and colleagues have paid tribute Brooke, the Gazette reports today.
Brooke, who joined the Gazette in 1963 as a 15-year-old apprentice compositor, was the longest-serving employee of Johnston Press’s North West division. He retrained as a journalist in 1989 when computerised typesetting was introduced.
