Reuters ‘confident’ Thomson merger will get green light

Reuters has said it is confident its proposed merger with Thomson will be approved by the US Department of Justice.
In an update this morning, the global news agency said the two companies had held ‘productive discussions’ with the DoJ and the European Commission.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.
