Journalist Rick Waghorn’s football web site MyFootballwriter.com is up against his former employer, Archant’s Norwich Evening News, in in the website of the year category of the EDF Energy East of England media awards, Journalism.co.uk notes.
Waghorn covered Norwich City football club during his 14 years with the paper, before using his redundancy money to set up the competing local football site.
