Former BBC1 controller to deliver Edinburgh lecture

The former BBC1 controller who resigned in the wake of the crisis over a misleading promo clip of the Queen is expected to give his version of the events in the keynote speech at this year’s Edinburgh TV festival.

Peter Fincham, who resigned following an independent review of the misleading edit from the promo for a documentary series on the Queen, will deliver the MacTaggart lecture on 22 August.
