Gordon Brown ‘not remotely reportable’

Gordon Brown has suffered as Prime Minister because of his inability to say anything worth quoting by journalists.

That’s the view of Benedict Brogan, political editor of the Daily Mail, who says that at a press conference with his Indian counterpart in New Dehli today, the PM “said nothing remotely reportable”.

“His reliance on stock phrases about key issues is wearisome in the extreme and means he is not being reported,” says Brogan on his Daily Mail blog.

Brogan, who is with Brown on the last leg of his Asian tour, is big fan of Brown’s wife Sarah who “brought some refreshing Indian style to the trip”.
