Google News is currently more of an enemy than a friend of online newspapers, according to former FT Magazine editor John Lloyd.
Google’s news aggregator doesn’t produce journalism of its own, but weakens the ability of those who do to attract readers, the director of journalism at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University, told the German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung.
