BBC takes £141m in EU loans

The Daily Mail reports today that the BBC secured £141m from the European Union-backed European Investment Bank - an organisation which says it “promotes European values”.
The money will cover the expansion of the corporation’s commercial arm, BBC Worldwide. The details emerged in a letter to Tory MP Bob Spink, in response to a Parliamentary question.
