The Independent today notes that the Munich air crash of 1958 was a tragedy for British journalism as well as Manchester United and British football.
Eight journalists lost their lives in accident: Henry Rose of the Daily Express; Donny Davies of The Guardian; Archie Ledbrooke, Tom Jackson, Alf Clarke from the Daily Mirror; George Follows from the Daily Herald and Frank Swift from the News of the World.
