News of the World columnist Carole Malone has questioned newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky’s decision to switch from the BBC to Five. Kaplinsky, she says, insists “it was never about the money”.
“Why would a woman at the top of her game, the darling of the nation’s biggest broadcaster, suddenly up sticks and go work for a TV station that has a fraction of the viewers and tons less kudos?” Malone asks.
