The BBC is seeking new generation of “news rottweiler” interviewers in case John Humphrys, Jeremy Paxman, James Naughtie or David Dimbleby retires, the Times suggests today.
The corporation is looking for new interrogators because of concern that one or more of its four star interviewers, who are all in their 50s or 60s, might decide to retire.
Among the names being mentioned are are Washington correspondent Justin Webb, and BBC America presenter Matt Frei.
