Trinty Mirror’s newspapers in Wales are recruiting six online journalists, Holdthefrontpage reports.
Media Wales, which publishes the Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Wales on Sunday and the Celtic group of weekly papers, will add an online communities editor post, a multimedia sports journalist and four multimedia journalists as part of a move to a new integrated newsroom in Cardiff later this year.
A new head of content will oversee content distribution across the titles, which will each continue to have separate editors, known as “executive editors”.
In November, staff at Media Wales were told that there would be 10 voluntary redundancies as part of the restructuring process towards becoming an integrated newsroom.
