Reed Elsevier to axe 1,000 jobs in cost-cutting drive

Reed Elsevier, the parent company of Reed Business Information, is expected to cut 1,000 jobs as part of a major restructuring plan.
According to the Sunday Telegraph, most of the affected jobs will be outside the UK. Reed is due to announce its end-of-year results on Thursday morning.
