Iran confirms death sentence for journalist and ‘terrorist’

Iran has confirmed that it has sentenced education activist and journalist Yaghoob Mirnehad to death for alleged involvement in terrorism.

He is said to have been sentenced to death for membership of a group called Jundallah and for “crimes against national security”. Mirnehead has reported for Tehran-based daily newspaper Mardomsalari.
