European Commission pays radio stations to cover news

The European Commission has announced a £4.3m-a-year fund for radio stations to help them cover news about the European Union and its countries.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the EU executive office has insisted it would have no control over the editorial content on the network of 16 radio stations that will receive a share of the money.
