Channel 4 execs split over radio plans

Channel 4 executives are split over plans for its £100m digital radio stations, with particular concern being raised about the cost of setting up 4 Radio, its speech radio rival to Radio 4, according to a report in MediaGuardian.
Programme commissioners at the broadcaster were said to be concerned at the potential drain on resources at a time when it is about to campaign for further public assistance.
Chief executive Andy Duncan and director of new business and corporate developmennt Natalie Schwarz are said to be “increasingly isolated” in their support for the project
