BBC ‘divides the nation’ with sports marathon

Last week, the Daily Mail claimed the BBC had outbid ITV in a bid to claw back the sports broadcasting rights it had lost.
This week, the Daily Telegraph says the corporation “faces the wrath of the viewer public” for showing too much sport.
It says viewers this weekend faced a “17-hour marathon of sport” including three Six Nations rugby matches and three FA Cup quarter finals.
