Turkish journalist ‘arrested in government coup probe’

A journalist is reported to be one of 11 people arrested in connection with an alleged attempt to overthrow the Turkish government, according to the Guardian.

Ilhan Selcuk is a columnist for the Cumhuriyet newspaper and a fierce critic of the Islamic-led government. The arrests have not been officially confirmed yet, with details emerging in the local press based on anonymous sources.
