The Times’s chief cricket correspondent, Christopher Martin-Jenkins, is handing over the reins to former England captain Michael Atherton at the end of next month.
“CMJ”, who has covered cricket for the paper for the past nine years, has been presented with a commemorative bat by England captain Michael Vaughan in recognition of his work.
The Times says CMJ will continue writing about cricket “on a regular basis”.
