Lords back Independent’s call for asylum reform.

The Independent today publishes a letter on its front page from 17 members of the House of Lords calling for reform of the Government’s asylum policy.

Their intervention comes after the paper highlighted the case of gay Iranian teenager Mehdi Kazemi,shoe application for asylum was refused. The paper says he faces execution of sent back to Iran,m where his former boyfriends has already been killed by the authorities.
