Journalists working on Radio 4’s Today programme - which today welcomes new host Evan Davies to the team - have been told to work harder, the Independent’s Pandora diary column has claimed.
According to the piece, correspondents were called into a meeting in which the results of a productivity audit were presented, showing the number of minutes each reporter had spent on air, although individuals were not named.
Today editor Ceri Thomas declined to comment when approached by Pandora.
