Public service broadcasters ’should boost online news’

Broadcast regulator Ofcom will next week urge broadcasters to make more of their news output available online and on mobile phones, to allow public-service programming to reach a wider audience.

According to the Telegraph, Ofcom’s long-awaited public service review will be published on Thursday and will examine new ways in which PSB content can be “maintained and strengthened”.
