- Sue Cameron pays tribute in the FT to Sir Geoffrey Cox, the News at Ten founder who died this week, aged 97.
- The Daily Telegraph, meanwhile, has an obituary for its former racing correspondent Bill Curling, who worked at the Southern Echo and the Yorkshire Post before spending 20 years at the Telegraph from 1946.
