Current TV appoints UK new media director

Peer-to-peer news network Current has appointed Rebekah Billingsley to the new role of UK director of new media.

Billingsley will be responsible for managing all online activities for Current in the UK, and will report to Current’s new media president Joanna Drake Earl.

Billingsley joined Current from Bauer Consumer Media, where, as digital business director, she launched Closer Online as well as Heatworld.com. She previosuly worked at Times Online as head of business development.
