In a rare interview, Rupert Murdoch has warned of deteriorating conditions in the US newspaper market.
Speaking at the All Things Digital conference in California, the News Corp chief exec said newspapers would have to lower their profit margins to around 10 per cent and publish stories people “wanted to read”.
Meanwhile, in an interview with the Jersualem Post, Murdoch has broken his silence on Gordon Brown, speaking of a “lack of leadership” in Britain.
“You didn’t have lack of leadership with Tony Blair,” he said.
