Patience Wheatcroft claims City Hall ‘wasted millions’

Former Sunday Telegraph editor Patience Wheatcroft is said to be horrified after uncovering what she claims is evidence of endemic overspending at the mayor of London’s office, the Sunday Times has reported.

Wheatcroft, who has been hired by Boris Johnson to lead a team of “forensic accountants” investigating how Ken Livingstone’s office spent taxpayers’ money, is due to hand over her interim report to the new mayor next week.
