Telegraph Media Group made the National Union of Journalists’ father of the chapel redundant after 21 years with the paper, reports Media Guardian.
NUJ FoC John Carey, deputy editor of the Daily Telegraph’s Saturday property section, was not alone in the latest round of redundancies, with Daily Telegraph foreign news desk staffers Paul Hill of 37 years’ service and colleague Patsy Dryden of 19 years’ service both included in the cuts.
