New York Times reporter’s drug abuse memoirs

New York Times reporter David Carr has used his investigative journalism techniques on his family as research for his new memoirs on life as a crack addict.

According to the Observer, The Night of the Gun is based on more than 60 interviews with family, doctors and police to help Carr piece together the effect drug abuse had on his life and those around him.
