The Evening Standard has extended its prepaid card payment scheme, Eros, to newsagents and other shops in London.
The system, which until now has only been available from Standard vendors in the street, can now be used at PayPoint and e-Pay-enabled tills in shops, Associated Newspapers said today in a press release.
“This will make it even simpler, quicker and more cost effective for many more Londoners to buy a copy of the Evening Standard every day,” said Evening Standard managing director Andrew Mullins.
