Another rival bidder emerges for Informa

Informa has received a rival takeover approach from an unidentified third party, the B2B publisher confirmed this afternoon.
“No formal proposal has been received,” Informa said in a statement to the stock exchange.
The company is still in talks with a consortium of private equity groups - Providence, Carlyle and Hellman & Friedman, which has tabled a 506p-a-share proposal.
