The Office of Fair Trading has allowed Global Radio to hold on to all its stations in London following its takeover of rival GCap Media.
The new radio group, chaired by former ITV chief executive Charles Allen, does not have to dispose of any of its London stations – including news station LBC – even though it will hold roughly a 50 per cent stake share of all radio advertising in London once the deal goes through.
